Possible problem sharing.

    I just wanted to give a heads up about the level sharing system you put together. The example level link you dropped has a 1325 characters long code. The max recommended length for an URL is 2000 characters (you can thank IE for that).

    I did a couple tests, and you can easily make this 1/3 the size:

    1. Compress the code using gzip
    2. Convert that compressed code to base64 so it is easy to share.
    3. Your share code went from 1325 characters to 552 characters.

    Take a look at my result:

    $ ls -la igs_code.txt*
    -rw-r--r-- 1 dannagle dannagle 1325 Nov 22 16:49 igs_code.txt
    -rw-r--r-- 1 dannagle dannagle 413 Nov 22 16:54 igs_code.txt.gz
    -rw-r--r-- 1 dannagle dannagle 552 Nov 22 16:50 igs_code.txt.gz.64

    Using this method will allow users to share significantly larger levels before hitting URL size limits.

    Awesome thanks for sharing this Dan!

    Man, the forum did not show me this in new posts, only just now finding it.

    Good stuff, yeah I looked into compression a bit, but of the two methods I tried, both added to the length instead of shortening it somehow.
