A card game recommendation
I’ve fallen totally in love with Lords of War, a very approachable but still deep card game by UK-based Black Box Games. It really is an abstract board game disguised as a card game with a medieval fantasy theme (heads up, @geoffb!).
They’re currently running a Kickstarter campaign for a new expansion. They’ve hit their funding goal and a huge number of stretch goals, giving pledgers an almost ridiculously good deal. Better hurry up though, the campaign closes in 48 hours!
LIZARDMEN??! Sold :)
Looks fun and easy to setup/play. I’ll have to make @richtaur play the Elves so I can slaughter him with my scaly army.
I got my Lords of War cards the other day. Haven’t had a chance to play with them yet, but soon!
Ack, jealous! Still waiting for my goodies.
Played several games throughout the summer, Lords of War keeps coming back to the table. I still find it a simple yet sharp and really charming game. Looking forward to hear your opinion!
I threw together a (butt-ugly) statistics tool, might be useful when you do get up and running.
